The food is okay. Service is so slow though. I guess there's one person working? I don't know. Server is nice. She tries to be helpful when I was ordering, but it just seemed like she was preoccupied and it took forever to get my two rolls and even longer to get my bill and then my credit card back. Nothing special here to rate higher than 3 stars.

Drove past this place a few times, and decided to stop in for lunch. If you know where Tavola (pizza place) is, it's in the same strip mall. The decor is nice and soothing. The sushi bar is on the right when you walk in, however we sat at a booth. I had the drunken noodles, hot wife had some sushi. Drunken noodles with tofu: wow! The noodles were good, with a nice assortment of veggies, even some rings of jalapeño. The tofu was fried, crisp outside, soft inside. The sauce was outstanding. Very spicy (you can order mild to hot) sauce with great flavor. I highly recommend. Sushi: very good, fresh and flavorful. Salmon was melt in your mouth good. The roll size is good, not too much, not too little. The service is great! Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Pros: Great menu selection, and delicious food! I recommend the udon noodle dishes and the pad Thai dishes! Also, they make great sweet Thai tea! Cons: I have been there three times and every time was very slow service. That's why I only gave it three stars!

A great place for sushi. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They really make you feel at home, though they are not the speediest service. Food never disappoints and the sushi is yummy.

My wife and I frequent this establishment often. The sushi always tastes fresh - the female owner has a memory of an elephant - if we didm;t go there for two months she remembers us - and going her an order for three people - she remembers the entire thing. Anything curry is wonderful there as well as the sushi. The portions are dead-on and the prices are very reasonable. The selection can be somewhat overwhelming, but since it's Sushi and Thai, I can understand them wanting to make a vast selection. I would like a smaller menu however. The establishment is clean, food is served expeditiously, and we will continue to frequent Taiyo!

Worst customer service ever! I waited 5 minutes while the guy behind the bar ignored me standing at the door. I asked him if I needed to seat myself, before I was sat. After that I sat and sat before I ever saw my server. I am from out of town and it had good reviews, but I definitely would not recommend!

GREAT Sushi and Thai cuisine!!! First time here from outta state and read a few positive reviews so thought we'd give it a try. Kind of a slow service, but friendly people. Decent prices as well. Whenever back in town, will definitely be back! Must try!!!

We have tried almost every sushi place from PSL to Hobe Sound and this place is by far the best. Always fresh, always perfect. We eat here or even order it as take out every week.

Worst decision ever made, arrived for lunch had very poor service. Staff themselves were eating and watching tv. We were the only customers in the retaurant and it took nearly 20 minutes to get lunch. Sushi was very hot and rice was just falling off the roll, the wasabi was the cheap stuff you get in a publix roll. Plasticky and not spicy what so ever. The sushi itself lacked any flavor. And the Pad See ew was just awful, sticky, salty, way overboard with the soy sauce. Couldn't eat it.. The fastest bit of service we got was for waitress to pick up the check, I was very disappointed. Won't be returning.

OMG!!!!!! Sushi is to die for! We ordered the St. Lucie roll, dragon roll, lovers roll, and shrimp tempura roll. I can honestly say the best sushi I've ever had and I've had a lot! The vegetable tempura, fried rice, and chicken tempura were excellent as well. The stir fry noodle dish was good but the only negative thing was the shrimp in the noodles was kinda mushy and cold but they took it off our bill without us asking so that was nice. Lastly but most important the service was amazing! Great people and they actually cared. I will recommend this place and go back again. Def worth the trip : )

Easily the BEST sushi/Thai food is psl!!! I moved to Austin a few years back, but I always make a point to eat here at least once if not more times when I'm in town! And try the fried rice... It is the best fried rice on the planet!!!

This is my third visit plus I've done take out. I can't comment on the Thai food as I can't get past the excellent sushi! It's just great and well priced. Everytime the door opens the staff greet customers by name so all the repeat business is a great indicator of quality. You won't go wrong here.

Our absolute FAVORITE sushi ever!! Nong and her husband not only make you feel right at home they make and serve the best sushi we have ever had. Our favorites are the Dragon Roll, Protein Roll (no rice) and the Spider Roll oh and you Have to try the Taiyo Bomb it's AMAZING!!!

Love it here!! Such welcoming owners and super fresh sushi. We have eaten at all our local sushi restaurants in the area but love this one the most. When we have our meals delivered the sushi arrives cold and Thai is hot. Taiyo is super!

This was one of my first times to eat sushi. I had friends pick out what to have and it was amazing. I had the dragon roll and a california roll and tried the calianti roll. They all were awesome. I now love sushi and Taiyo. My friends that love sushi said this place is amazing!!!

We were on our way back into town from Orlando and wanted Thai and sushi. Thanks to the reviews, we decided on Taiyo. It was easy to find, except the signs on the building do not say Taiyo... just Thai and Sushi. We ordered the Taiyo roll as an appetizer. We were going to order two rolls, but the waitress was nice enough to warn us that this roll was huge. She wasn't kidding. I told my husband that this roll was probably the best sushi I had ever had, not just the size but the freshness and flavors. Delicious. We also both ordered Thai food. It was awesome, but I'll warn you, if you ask for extra spice, and they ask "medium or hot" be prepared! We both ordered hot, and because my husband's meal already came with jalepenos, his was VERY spicy, but delicious! The waitress was very attentive and made you feel like you had been there 100 times before. We loved it, and will go back soon!

What an amazing sushi meal! I came down from NJ where I regularly enjoy great sushi and I must say I was blown away. The Taiyo Bomb and Lobster Rolls are mind blowing rolls big enough to feed 2 for an entree. Must go!!!

I have visited Taiyo multiple times, and every time the food is very good. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. The prices are a little high but worth it. I recommend the red curry, the sa-te chicken,and also the pineapple fried rice.

My boyfriend and I always choose a "usual" sushi place in every town we live in. Taiyo has become our usual and we refuse to go anywhere else. Great, friendly service, awesome sushi, my boyfriend is often torn between ordering the sushi or the spicy curry since he enjoys both. It has a relaxing atmosphere that allows you to sit back, relax, talk, and enjoy eating great food. I will be staying with this restaurant.

Good food, reasonable price and a wide range of choices on their menu. I recommend the steamed dumplings for appetizer. The sauce compliments the taste of the dumplings. Their sushi and tempura was great. The food had good presentation. Though I have not tried their thai food selection, I would recommend this place to my friends.
